Emma Hines Cochran is a Resident in Counseling with over a year of post-graduate experience in the field.  She graduated from James Madison University with her Master of Arts and Education Specialist degree in May of 2025, and from Sweet Briar College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.  Emma's approach to therapy begins with the traditional human-centric approach, and brings in a blend of many interventions, including interpersonal, CBT, DBT, somatic, ERP, play therapy and more based on the unique characteristics of her clients.  She enjoys working with a wide range of client ages and presentations, but has the most experience in anxiety, depression and other mood disorders, OCD, and substance use.  In her spare time, she enjoys writing, crafting, and taking walks.
